If you are a great fan of sun, sand, food, and fun, then visit Italy during summer.

Summer in Italy provides bright sunshine, beautiful sandy beaches, delicious summer cuisines, and a host of summer festivals, outdoor concerts.

Summer weather in Italy is however quite hot with temperatures in some regions hitting 100 degrees. The evenings are also pleasantly warm. Most Italians usually take refuge from the daylight heat at the beaches or the mountains where it is relatively cooler.

Italian design products are globally known to be of superior quality. This has made Italy a leader in the design sector. Be it in interior, automobile, industrial or fashion design, Italian products have managed to cut a niche above many other countries.

For this reason, a vast majority of designs are either bought from Italy or emulated from Italy and it is quite common to see products bearing the tag “Made in Italy” showing that it is made by Italian designers.

When it comes to men’s fashion, Italian fashion is often the yard stick of chic worldwide.

Italian fashion has evolved over centuries to be a global authority in the fashion industry. This success story is not as easy as it sounds. In fact Italy just like many other countries used to look to the west for the latest fashion. Men used to get their fashion designs from Paris and London.

However, after World War II, the Italian government began to seek for ways to ensure that the country does recover from the effects of the war by re building the economy. The craft products such as men Italian shoes and leather products that were aimed for the USA market were developed.

Given the unique look of the Venice mask, many travelers are understandably interested in their background.

09d57bc602e33e7dba6fa71480130d41These Venice masks actually have a long and storied history associated with them, since their origins date back centuries.  Some of the first recorded references to them occur in the 12th century, when the Serenissima Repubblica of Venice would celebrate major military victories.

Over the years, they have actually become a standard feature of many celebrations held within the city.  They are nearly universally recognized as Commedia dell'arte, which has added to their overall appeal for many people interested in the local culture of Venice.

Today, there are actually several different types of Venice carnival masks that are worn for these different types of celebrations.

La “Festa degli Innamorati”, also known as San Valentino in Italy or Saint Valentine’s Day in English, truly is a landmark occasion in the Italian cultural diary.

0fa674da9fc459f7c81ef4edab87f327Saint Valentine was born in, and was later made patron saint of Terni, a delightful, historical town in southern Umbria.

Defying Emperor Claudius II’s decree that young men should be forbidden from marrying because single men were considered to make better soldiers, Saint Valentine continued to marry in secret and signed letters to his lovers signed ‘Your Valentine’.

Unfortunately, he was later found out and sentenced to death for his crimes, and was killed on 14th February in Rome. Whether he knew it or not, Saint Valentine was to leave a timeless and romantic legacy. A day when Italians and countless other nations celebrate romance was born.
