The Palazzo Pfanner was constructed in the 1660. It was owned by the Moriconi family and was later on sold to the Controni family. Another fascinating structure is the Guinigi tower. It is considered the most important in Lucca since it is one of the remaining towers in the city. It was given to the government by the Guinigi family descendants. The hanging garden found on the roof of the Guinigi Tower is a valued property of the tower.

The celebration of autumn flavours in Tuscany happens from September to December. During this period there is harvesting of mushrooms, grapes, chestnuts and olives.
Luminara festivities are conducted to honor saints like Saint Rariera and Patron Saint Pisa. For this festival it is normal to see 4 boats competing along Arno River.
