I have spent a week at Villa Ombrone, the best kept secret of Tuscany. We have been warmly welcomed by the owners in their awesome estate in Maremma.
The house is newly renovated, tasteful and comfortable. The different terraces and outer spaces of Villa Ombrone are surrounded by nature and overlook the stunning Tuscan landscape. Cooking in the well equipped kitchen the artisanal pasta produced by a nearby farmer with the tasty olive oil of the estate with a glass of the famous Morellino di Scansano is an amazing experience. The warm late summer allowed us to eat on the lovely outside dining room, take long walks among the olive trees and discovering the treasure around. I enjoyed the sauna and pool. It is by far the greatest villa I have rented in Tuscany, an oasis of beauty, silence and comfort allowing for quality time with oneself, friends and family.
I have already booked a week this winter to work remote thanks to the very efficient wifi connection, either in the study or in front of the fireplace in the living room from which you can admire the sunset on the valley.
