It is a highly evocative territory, which, precisely on account of the essential perfection of its landscape has been included in the Unesco list of World Heritage Sites: scenery that was celebrated by the artists of the Sienese school, the reproductions of which have become symbols of the Renaissance and have profoundly influenced the mode of conceiving the landscape.
