Villa San Montano: Heaven on earth
My 3 sisters and I spent one week at the Villa San Montano in late May. It was the most wonderful, restful, beautiful experience. The villa itself is truly lovely and beautifully furnished. The deck overlooking the Mediterranean was our favorite day time spot…when we were not exploring the
Sorrento area or whisking off for a day in Capri! There is a little fishing village a short walk from the villa with beautiful restaurants. Our favorite was Da Michele where I had the best gnocchi I have ever tasted!
We also took a cooking class with our host at the villa and it was the highlight of our trip!
We will certainly return to this heavenly villa and bring more friends!!!!

Villa San Montano was more beautiful that we could have dreamed. The view was incredible and the outside area was stunning. The location was perfect being only a 15 minute drive from Sorrento, but easy to reach Capri, the Amalfi Coast, Naples and Pompei.
The stuff was very helpful throughout our stay and the cleaners who took care of the property kept it immaculate.
The villa had everything we could have needed and I would definitely recommend it for people who are looking for a good base to explore as well as to just relax.

Our stay at San Montano was a great success. The standard and location of the property was outstanding with great views. The proprietor was kind enough to allow us very late entry. The journey was fine , about three hours actual driving and a one and a half hour stop for dinner on the way (from Rome Ciapino). We found the property in the dark without too much trouble.

A high specification property which exceeded our expectations. Well located for Sorrento, Capri and Amalfi Coast and not bad for Pompeii too.

We will certainly recommend to friends. Your Website is the best compared with the half dozen or so I looked at and the payment and booking arrangements were straight forward

As for the villa San Montano, it was more beautiful in person than the photos on your website could depict. It truly exceeded our expectations. The villa was spacious, private, clean, beautifully decorated and had spectacular views! Being walking distance to the Marina della Lobra was so convenient. We walked to restaurants and took advantage of the boat trips offered at marina. The proprietors of the villa could not have been more hospitable and gracious!

My husband had a wonderful 50th birthday celebration it Italy. For my 50th, I'd love to rent both Villa Bougainvillea and San Montano and have a group of my closest friends and family with me!!!

We absolutely loved San Montano! The location was incredible. The proximity to the sea was perfect for our family. We enjoyed morning and evening swims, walks to the marina for groceries, dinner and dessert. We began most days with a morning jog to the marina before setting out on an adventure.

Our family was so happy at Villa San Montano. The proximity to Sorrento, Capri, Positano, and Pompeii were perfect for our adventurous family of six. The house was spacious, and comfortable. Housekeeping kept the property clean during our stay.

It's a beautiful property in a fantastic location, close to everything anyone could desire to do. It was the highlight of our trip to Italy.

Wir hatten eine sehr gute Zeit in Massa und in der Villa San Montano.
Die Villa war sauber und die Aussicht zauberhaft.

Mir fällt wirklich nichts ein, was man verbessern kann.

The photos are accurate -- the view is gorgeous, with Capri always visible. The unit is about 60 feet above the water. The kitchen, while small, is usable. The deck is huge, with a table seating 8 where we ate most of our breakfasts and some lunches. It was very quiet at night.The location is quite good -- it's a 5 minute drive from "downtown" Massa Lubrense, which is a nice small town with food shops. Sorrento is a 20-30 minute drive. There are many good restaurants in the area, with two decent ones a 1km walk along the water in Marina della Lobra. The owners were very responsive and helpful.

San Montano is fantastic. My wife and I together with my granddaughters had a wonderful time.
Sadly the internet is not capable of depicting the size and beauty of this magnificent property.
You can rest assured that your guests will be well served at this location with only the proviso that they can walk and climb stairs.
On a scale of ten San Montano is an Eleven.

Our trip to San Montano was a dream come true. The owners were perfect hosts! From the cooking lesson to the advice on restaurants and about having a private boat tour of Capri, to the Salumene Ceramic Store in Vietri de mare, every piece of advice or every question we asked was answered with the best suggestion and idea of time to go and when to leave and when to avoid the most traffic!

The view from the villa terrace was magnificent! The home was kept impeccably clean, the bedrooms were comfortable...I cannot say enough about our visit and the entire experience!

Our stay in the villa at San Montano was absolutly brialliant.
The area of Massa Lubrense was really outstanding for the view,friendlieness of the locals and price wise in the bars and resturaunts was very affordable.
I would recommend this type of holiday to my family and friends who have already said that in the near future they would like to return.

We had a truly fantastic time. The villa was beautiful with gorgeous views.
Everything was perfect , surrounded by friendly and helpfull Italians we had a
very relaxing holiday. Italy at its best. The only negative point was the very narrow acces
( we have a 4wheel drive) to the house. You have to be a skilled driver....
