We are in the heart of Umbria, in one of this region’s most beautiful ancient villages: Spello, which is not far from Assisi, is definitely one of this area’s most precious pearls.

"Borghi più belli d'Italia"
In fact, Spello is a member of the "Borghi più belli d'Italia" [Most beautiful Villages in Italy], an association that only includes small towns which have preserved the perfect architectural harmony of their monuments and works of art.  The village stands out for its characteristic narrow, flower-filled alleyways and picturesque tower-houses which testify to its ancient history.

Just a few steps away from the house is the main square with various services, famous wine shops, stores selling local products and many excellent typical restaurants.

Casa del Mastro is a beautiful, atmospheric house created from an ancient stone building, set close to the old town walls.  The structure has been completely redesigned and renovated in a fresh, contemporary style.  It is filled with an atmosphere of complete relaxation, which can be felt, in particular, in the luxuriant garden which is permeated with the fragrance of aromatic plants such as rosemary, sage, verbena and thyme, all typical of the Mediterranean area.

The garden, which offers beautiful views of the Umbrian hills, contains a 3 x 6 meter swimming pool for the private use of guests.

The house is perfectly equipped and furnished with great taste, and features a blend of colors and ethnic objects from all over the world.  Outside, there is an area furnished for eating “al fresco” and a hob with gas burners.  The amenities include: air conditioning, satellite TV, Wi-Fi in the house and garden.
Thanks to the climate, it is possible to fully enjoy the house and outdoor areas almost all year round.  

Position
It is possible to organize many day trips from Spello to discover the countless wonders that fill this region.
If guests arrive by car, the owner will provide a special permit to access the area (for residents only) and they can park 50 meters away from the house.

A few house rules
Smoking is not permitted inside the house.
Dogs are allowed, but only small ones, and at special conditions.
Minimum stay 14 days during the month of august.

The complex
The same complex contains another 2 completely independent houses Lunario and Casetta del Lunario, which can extend the accommodation capacity to 15 people in the case of larger groups.
Lunario, with its private swimming pool, is connected via an internal gate by going through the garden, whereas Casetta del Lunario is separated by a wall and a small alleyway.
