villa layout
Bardolino stands on the eastern riviera of Lake Garda, 30 kms from Verona, and is one of the best-loved places on the lake, not only for the beauty of the lake there, but also for the beautiful countryside and hills behind. Just a few kilometres from Bardolino is Lake Garda's famous games park and, for those who appreciate the art cities, Verona is a particularly interesting spot for cultural visits. Venice can be reached in an hour by train from the station at Peschiera.
It is world-famous for the production of the excellent red wine "Bardolino", ruby red or rosé, which is produced in the large vineyards on the hills all around the town. The old town centre, dominated by the tall belltower of the church of San Severo, is full of attractive houses and streets where you can admire historic architecture and masterpieces of art and of the local history.
Villa i Broi lies in the village of Cisano 2 kms from Bardolino, in a very panoramic position overlooking the lake. The villa was built in the middle of the 1800s and still maintains the atmosphere of that time in the furnishings as well. It has a 20,000 sq. meter park for the use of guests consisting of an Italian style garden that begins at the main entrance to the villa and ends with a stone balustrade offering stunning views of the lake. To the left is a tree-lined area where it is possible to relax and have barbecues. To the right there is a 6 x 12 m swimming pool with a pergola, changing rooms with shower, and another barbecue area. The large covered terrace with awning adjacent to the villa is furnished with a table and chairs for eating “al fresco”.The wardens live in a house next to the villa and have separate entrances and external spaces. Cisano, which has food shops, is just 500 metres away and can be reached on foot. Not to be missed is a trip to the point at San Virgilio and to the beach of the Sirens (spiaggia delle Sirene).
The villa has stereo with CD player, internet connection WIFI, dishwasher and washing-machine.

"We loved Villa Broi. The owners have their own vineyards, and they take great pride in maintaining a beautiful old house. Each bedroom has either an en suite bathroom or one nearby, so we did not have to share space. The kitchen is large and well-stocked with dishes and cookware. We actually had a cooking class outside on the patio and then dined in the furnished solarium, a wonderful space outside the main house. Each evening we watched the sun set over Lake Garda from the front of the house; the views were spectacular, and the owner had provided a table and chairs in the perfect spot to enjoy cocktail hour and the sunset. There was a caretaker on the premises (he did not speak English) who maintained the grounds and the pool, but we did not need him for anything as everything was provided for us. We received a tour of the property from the owner's son when we arrived and then met the owner and his wife on the morning we were leaving when they came to do a move-out inventory. The housekeeper came three mornings to clean, but never imposed or got in our way; she was a nice lady who has worked there for 35 years. The house has wi-fi and the owner kindly provided the password.
The house is located in Bardolino, a lovely little town on the southeast side of Lake Garda. It was easy to travel each day to Sirmione, Malcesine, Verona, or other small towns and tour the area or simply to drive to the water and enjoy a breakfast lakeside. There are many restaurants within close driving distance, and we enjoyed dining outside and listening to local musicians in the evening. Vineyards line the back of the house and provide a walking path for a daily stroll. Mostly we drove but there is a wonderful restaurant next door to the house (Ristorante Costadoro) where we ate one night and enjoyed a delicious dinner; it was one of the best meals we had on this trip.
L & E

We stayed a week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The home is lovely, and we would certainly return if there were not so many other places to visit. We highly recommend this villa to other travelers."

"We had a wonderful time at Villa i Broi. The check in and out process with the owner was seemless and we very much enjoyed meeting him. The grandchildren would have been happy not to have moved from the pool! The gardener and his wife were completely unobtrusive.
As to the house, it accommodated us beautifully. It was very clearly a family home for generations, full of character, not a house bought for renting out, and we really appreciated that.
So, in summary, we had a great week and would certainly come back to you again if (or when) we are looking to rent in your area.

"We very much enjoyed our whole experience staying at the villa!
We also enjoyed the area as there was plenty to do and many lovely restaurants.
Our whole family loved it, and Bardolino, and would recommend the villa to anyone to stay at.

Kind regards,

"Our family would like to go back and stay at the villa again. It is what we talk about most from our trip to Italy. The owners were so hospitable. They met us at the appointed times at the beginning and the end of our stay. Our instructions for the use of the villa were clear and trusting.

We decided on an approach of traveling one day and staying close to the villa on the next. We rested, cooked, visited, enjoyed the rose garden, the sunsets, the BBQ pit and park-like shade under the beautiful trees, the vineyard, and even the soccer and volley ball areas.

The villa was beautifully decorated with antiques and comfortable furnishings. The huge dinning room gave us the chance to put on a festive celebration of Ginny's and my 49th wedding anniversary.

Best to you,
Dick and Ginny"

"Some headline comments:
-The service from your company was outstanding from others we came across in helpfulness, understanding, and enthusiastic support.
- Locating the villa was no problem.
- The villa itself was delightful, and far better than we dared hope. Very nicely and personally furnished

We were made very welcome, and I wouldn't hesitate to go again.

Thank you
