Information statement regarding the use of cookies

This website utilizes technical cookies in order to guarantee the correct functioning of procedures and to improve the user experience of online applications. This document provides information about the use of cookies and similar technology, on how they are utilized by the website and on how to manage them.

Definitions

Cookies are small files of text that the websites visited by users send to their terminals where they are stored ready to be retransmitted to the same website on the user’s next visit. The so-called “third party” cookies, on the other hand, are set up by a different website than the one the user is visiting. This is because elements can be present on every website (images, maps, sounds, specific links to the web pages of other domains, etc.) that reside on servers different from that of the website visited.

Types of cookies

Based on the characteristics and utilization of the cookies it is possible to distinguish several categories:

- Technical cookies. Technical cookies are those utilized for the sole purpose of "transmitting communications on an electronic communication network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provision of a service by the information company explicitly requested by the subscriber or by the user in order to provide the said service". These are not used for any ulterior purposes and they are normally installed directly by the owner or the manager of the website. They can be divided into navigation or session cookies which guarantee normal navigation and use of the website; cookie analytics, assimilated with the technical cookies where they are used directly by the manager of the website to collect information in an associated form about the number of users and the manner in which they visit the website; functional cookies that allow the user to navigate in relation to a series of select criteria for the purpose of improving the service provided to the same. The prior consent of the user is not requested in order to install these cookies whilst confirming the obligation to give the information statement pursuant to art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 that the manager of the website, wherever the same only utilizes such devices, may provide according to the modalities the same deems most suitable.

- Profile cookies. Profile cookies are used to create profiles of the users and are utilized for sending advertising messages according to the preferences shown by the same during their online navigation. Due to the particular invasive nature that such devices may have with regard to the users’ private sphere, European and Italian regulations require that users be adequately informed about the use of the same and are thus required to express their valid consent. It is envisaged that "the archiving of the information on the terminal of a contracting party or user or the access to information already archived shall only be permitted on condition that the contracting party or user has given consent after having been informed according to the simplified methods as per art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679. This website does not utilize profile cookies.

“Third party” cookies

Visiting this website could result in receiving cookies from websites managed by other organizations ("third parties "). One example is the presence of "social plugins" for Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or LinkedIn, or systems of viewing embedded (integrated) multimedia content such as, for example, Youtube, Flikr. These are generated directly by the aforementioned websites and integrated in the web page of the host website visited. The presence of these plugins leads to the transmission of cookies from and to all the websites managed by third parties. The management of the information collected by "third parties" is regulated by the relevant information statements to which we would ask you to refer.
