Villa Castellano is an antique nineteenth-century villa nestled in the picturesque Sorrentine hills, surrounded by olive, pine and ancient oak trees. From its panoramic view point guests may enjoy a splendid view over Sorrento and Mount Vesuvius. While set in the lush landscape of the Sorrento coast, the villa is only a mere 3 km from the center of Sorrento itself. Villa Castellano is divided into two recently renovated flats, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor. The ground-floor flat which is available to our guests has access to the garden from every room, and is also well-equipped with a dishwasher, washing-machine, telephone and two private open-air parking spaces. The nearest beach to the villa is found at the beautiful Baia di Puolo near Sorrento only 4 km from the property.

| "We stayed in Villa Castellano in early april 2013 and had a most wonderful stay. The villa is an large, well-appointed, elegant 19th-century building. The back has views of the Med. The ground floor is rental property (upstair is private). The villa rents four bedroom -- three are gigantic and one is cozy. The high ceilings give an even more spacious feel. There are two full baths. The living are is extremely large and well accommodated our group of 7. We also agree to have a lovely woman named Maria prepare us dinner for 3 of the 4 nights. She is an excellent cook and we ate well. It was nice to have a day touring and come home to relax and have dinner already prepared. We were there in april, so I don't know how cool the villa stays in the summer, but with high ceilings and an airy garden and lots of windows, it probably is well ventilated. The villa has a good wifi connection. At only 3 kilometers from Sorrento, the villa is well located. One day we drove the amalfi Coast. Another day we sailed to Capri for the day. We had two teenagers with us but we saw lots of baby equipment available (high chair, playpen, etc). I would highly recommend Villa Castellano. L.A." (April 2013) |
| "Just so you and everyone else knows, Villa Castellano was a real find. It commands an imposing position over Sorrento, has killer views of the Bay of Naples, and is a wonderful house in its own right. We were surrounded by olive, fig, and lemon trees, not to mention grape arbors, we bought local wine from the caretaker, and we cooked up a storm. I give the house my highest recommendation for location, amenities, comfort, views, and hospitality. Just don't tell everyone else.... Christopher" |
