|"Had a wonderful stay at Convento Antico! It is a beautiful villa. Lots and lots of room. Very clean. Eva the key holder was lovely and most accommodating. Ima the housekeeper was wonderful and took great care of all of us. She even made us a spectacular dinner with home made tiramisu!! (The best I have ever had) Walking distance to town, maybe 15 minutes... Worth the walk as we needed the exercise to work off all the great food and wine. If you don't mind a firm bed, this villa is perfect!! Thank you Ville in Italia for the memories of a lifetime!!!
|"The villa was amazing! It was comfortable. Every evening we enjoyed sitting outside reliving the day’s activities. The location was perfect. We did a lot of walking which suited our group just fine. We did not miss not having a pool, the close proximity to the water gave us the opportunity to sunbathe in the Mediterranean which I took advantage of along with others from my group. In fact, it was one of the most relaxing memorable moments that I took home with me. The weather was perfect at the end of September. We had sun every day. Days that we did not do excursions, it was very nice just to find a spot either outside or in the villa and read a good book.
We had some cooks among, so it was nice having the kitchen and local markets very close to us that we could do the food shopping. We even took advantage of the outdoor wood burning oven and made pizza one night for dinner. Yes, food was the other memorable theme of our trip. We ate at local restaurants in Sant'Agnello as well as Sorrento which we could walk too so we did not miss having a car in the least.
We walked to the train which took us to Pompeii and Herculaneum on 2 different excursions. It was a great location to explore the Amalfi Coast and neighboring islands like Capri and Ischia that we did with a tour group and worked out great.
I would recommend this villa to others in a heartbeat. Whether you are looking to relax or explore, it is the perfect location to do both!
|"The villa in Sorrento was absolutely beautiful and extremely large. This is a must place to stay and will be a recommendation for any group of visitors of 6 or larger"
