The promontory of Mount Argentario faces onto the sea just a short distance from the islands that form theTuscan archipelago. The atmosphere created by this extraordinary hill is quite unique and rather special, with the sides covered partly by rocks and partly by thick vegetation, descending into the sea and forming beaches and small bays at its base. Villa le Buffe lies in the residential area of Cala Piccola about 6 kms from Porto Santo Stefano, and spreads out on several levels along the rock face high above the sea, enjoying a beautiful panorama reaching as far as the islands of Giglio and of Giannutri. The several of the terraces are just like balconies above the sea, full of plant life and tall trees, and on one of these terraces lies the private swimming-pool. Down a path of about 200 steps you come to the sea cliff, where you should be careful, but is not dangerous, and from there you can jump into the clear sea. The villa is furnished with modern furniture typical of sea-side houses, and has all the modern conveniences such as washing-machine, dishwasher and an American-style fridge. The outside areas are well-furnished, and on the veranda is a large table for dining al fresco. Just a few minutes away by car is the bay with a pebble beach which is also suitable for children. A wonderful panoramic road winds around the promontory and comes to Porto Santo Stefano which together with Porto Ercole are the largest towns in Argentario. Not far away are the ancient Etruscan towns of Pitigliano and Sovana,. The local food is excellent and so is the local wine called Morellino di Scansano.
Rome is about 140 kms away, and Florence 180 kms.

Middle Floor: 1 double bedroom with bathroom outside (WC and washbasin) - 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower, 1 double bedroom with bathroom with bath-tub and independent access to the outside and a large furnished terrace. Floor Below: (with access via an external stair) 2 double bedrooms of which one has a bathroom with bath-tub, and the other has a bathroom with shower, both with independent external access and terrace with a view of the sea, 1 twin bedroom with bathroom with bathtub. Just a few steps from the villa is a small annex with a double bedroom with an ensuite shower, also with a view of the sea.
