This villa, surrounded by a large, enclosed garden, lies just a couple of hundred metres from the village of Aci Sant'Antonio, about 13 kms from Catania, 4 kms from Acireale and 9 kms from the sea (Acitrezza and Acicastello). This is an old 19th century building used as a country home where they could pass the summer months and escape from the heat in Catania, and where they cultivate the beautiful orange groves that are the symbol of Sicily. At the end of the garden you can still enter the plantation, where there are several different types of trees. Behind the villa is the best place to enjoy the ample external spaces available, with relaxation areas and the private swimming pool, which also offers a small pool for children and a large loggia with kitchen, barbecue and dining table, suitable for dining outside in the summer months. The villa is furnished with original pieces from the end of the 1800s and they have preserved some of the original architecture of the wine-cellar where they used to produce wine. The bedrooms are all on the first floor along a long corridor. This is a good place for a rest to recharge your batteries and for organizing day trips to the wonderful places in eastern Sicily. You will find all the services you might need in Aci Sant'Antonio and nearby it is easy to find excellent restaurants offering traditional local cuisine.
