Villa del Conte lies in the hills opposite the nature reserve called "Parco Naturale dell'Uccellina" and the beautiful promontory at Argentario, in one of the most attractive areas in Maremma in Tuscany, an oasis of peace and of the beauty of nature. The mediterranean scrub stretches out in front as far as the sea about 5 kms away. Both the protected beach inside the nature reserve at Marina di Alberese, and the beach at Osa, which is more organized with sunshades and deckchairs, and where there is a restaurant and other services, can be easily reached from here, or in 20 minutes by car you can reach the rocky cliffs of Argentario, with Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole, two resorts particularly favoured by the famous. The villas lies in a panoramic position, at the centre of an centuries-old olive grove, and can be reached along a convenient untarred road within the bounds of the property. In the large grounds around it you can enjoy a panorama of the olive grove, and in the distance of a short tract of the coast-line. In front of the main entrance is a large portico with living-areas and a shady dining-area, and on one side a 6x12 swimming-pool with a large wooden sunbathing platform. The inside is furnished with valuable antique furniture with the addition of a collection of old ceramics and mirrors from the eighteenth century. Every bedroom has its own bathroom and the windows are protected by mosquito netting. The kitchen has a dishwasher and many other accessories. You can request a cooking service that must be paid on the premises. This area, which is well-known for its traditional local cuisine and for its red wine called Morellino, is reached via Florence, either by going through Siena and then Grosseto, or else down the dual-carriageway from Livorno along the coast.
