Villa Maria Luisa lies in a quiet spot with a good view less than a kilometer from San Casicano Val di Pesa, one of the larger towns in the Florentine Chianti Classico area. The main villa was built at the beginning of the 1800s and still has the frescoes on its ceilings and terracotta floors. It has been divided in two vertically creating two independent apartments, one of which is lived in by the two friendly owners, who despite their no longer tender age are sprightly and available to help if required. The Italian garden has also been divided in two and gives good privacy to both parts, and from the side for our guests there is a brief walk to the private 5x9.5m swimming-pool. The villa has been completely renovated and although it has well maintained its original characteristics, has all modern conveniences: wireless internet access, central heating, dishwasher, washing-machine, satellite-TV, stereo with CD player, internal and external barbecue. From San Casciano the city of Florence is within easy reach, and lies about 20 km away. Not far away are all the best-known towns in Chianti, where you can visit some of the historic wine-cellars producing Chianti Classico, or wander through splendid medieval villages, just minutes away by car. You should also not neglect the restaurants in the area, where you can try the justly famous Tuscan cuisine.
