Torri di Benaco is a little jewel on the shores of Lake Garda in the province of Verona, clinging to the hillside, where it stretches out with its medieval centre and castle. This pleasant little town has a mild climate and there are even lemon groves, rather like those further south, along the Amalfi Coast. The tiny medieval centre at Torri is worth a visit at any time of year, as you stroll down the narrow little streets and enjoy its old-world atmosphere, or walk along the water-front and take in the wonderful sight of the little harbour with its lovely buildings mirrored in the lake. Villa Isa is about 3 kms from the town right on the lake in a very panoramic position. It's a typical 30's building, renovated in later periods, but still maintaining all of the charm of the futuristic style of the period. The villa consists of two extensive apartments, one of which is reserved for the use of the owners, who occasionally stay for brief periods by the lake side. The furnishings too are typical of the period, and the bedrooms, apart from the one on the second floor, have air-conditioning. The kitchen is well-equipped, with oven, microwave oven, and a dishwasher. The large garden has a gazebo, a 7x4m swimming-pool and a 5-a-side football field and is entirely at your disposition - the owners, when they are present, use only a small area in front of their entrance. From the garden you just go over the road to reach the lake where there is a bathing beach. The whole area offers all kinds of recreational activities: footpaths where you can enjoy the beauty of the view of the lake, water sports such as wind-surfing and sailing, golf courses within easy reach - just 10 and 30 minutes drive from the town, thermal springs area, Valpolicella wine trails, the arena at Verona just 40 kms away, and the Gardaland and Sealife fun parks. A real holiday both for adults and adolescents.
