Villa Barresa lies at the heart of a large estate cultivating citrus-fruit about 4 kms from Scordia and 17 kms from Lentini. The property is the country home of an aristocratic sicilian family, who have not only kept the house intact with all its old features, but have also equipped it with every modern convenience. The garden is surrounded by tall palm trees and tropical plants, and guests have at their disposal a private 6x10m swimming-pool and large sun-bathing areas. The villa is on two floors: on the ground floor are living-rooms furnished with old sicilian furniture, along with the kitchen and dining-room, and upstairs on the first floor are the bedrooms and a large terrace that looks out over the grounds where you can admire the large citrus plantation and the farm. In the little tower for the more romantically inclined there is a separate bedroom with a small panoramic terrace. During the stay there is a cleaning service for four hours a day, 5 days a week, and on request it can be arranged to cook lunch or dinner, to be paid for on the premises. Villa Barresa has a particular charm all its own, where you can experience all the atmosphere of an old sicilian family home, with every modern comfort. From here you can take trips to all of the major towns on the island. Catania is 40 kms away and Siracusa 70 kms.
