Rosantica is a villa on the edge of Trecastagni, a village on the slopes of Etna at about 600 meters above s.l.. It is up in the hills so from some places you can enjoy a view taking in the edge of Calabria to the Gulf of Catania. The villa is on three floors, each of which has its own access to the garden via an external staircase. On the ground floor there is the living area with two large living rooms, a dining area, the large professional kitchen equipped with ovens, dishwasher, large refrigerators and freezers, microwave oven and many other accessories - making it also ideal for small cooking courses. On the outside is the large furnished veranda and an impressive garden with beautiful, rare plants, of which we should mention the roses with their beautiful colors, and at the edge is a shady wooden veranda and the 5x10m swimming-pool which has just been built. The villa furnishings are very elegant and the antique furniture is Sicilian, combined with good materials and curtains, and is equipped with satellite TV, stereo with CD player, internet connection, laundry with washing machine, barbecue. The owner is a cooking expert and you can therefore experience her menus in a nice family atmosphere. The owner also offers two free cooking lessons during the stay. Trecastagni lies 19 km from the center of Catania and about 13 km from the sea, where Aci Trezza and Aci Castello form the Costa dei Ciclopi (the Cyclops Coast). All along the coast you can find excellent fish dishes and inland you can enjoy traditional Sicilian cuisine at the local restaurants. In recent years excellent wines from the slopes of Etna have been produced and have enjoyed international success.
