In the little port of Pozzillo, an old fishing village that has maintained intact all of its characteristics and features since the end of the 1800s, the house looks straight onto the sea that laps against the large, panoramic terrace. It's not often that you find a place such as this where you can experience and live the sea so closely, to the point where you really don't need anything else. The village, which is extremely tranquil, centres round the piazza of the little harbour, where there is a bar, a few small food shops and a fish-market that every day sells fresh fish straight from the sea. Going up the street you come to a pizzeria, and you will find shops and restaurants at Pozzillo Soprano (1.5 kms) or at Risposto (8 kms), an attractive coastal town with an efficient yacht harbour. The house is has furniture suitable for a property close by the sea, and has however all modern comforts such as dishwasher and washing-machine, and the house is made for outside living, on the partly covered terrace, from which you can go straight down to the rocks via a wooden stair. Pozzillo is 8 kms from Acireale, 27 from Catania and 20 kms from Taormina, and all of the coast is a procession of typical, small villages that continue from Catania as far as Giardini Naxos, with behind you a stretch of citrus groves coming down the slopes of Etna.
