Evaluation: ****
This large and attractive stone farmhouse dates back to 1800 and has recently been restored with care and taste in full respect of the original structure. It is comfortably furnished with quality items in rustic Tuscan style also comprising period pieces. Montornello is located on an ancient, historic estate of 220 hectares, where fine wine and olive oil are produced, in a peaceful and panoramic position immersed in the green reaches of vineyards and olive groves. The house is divided into two apartments, independent but that can be linked internally by a communal staircase and a small door on the ground floor. This solution offers the advantage of accommodating up to 16 guests, while at the same time guaranteeing an excellent level of privacy. Telephone in each apartment and in the bedrooms. Centralised heating and air conditioning on the ground floor. The kitchens are also equipped with kettles, toasters and American-style coffee machines. Access to the property is via an unmade road of 1.5 km (not recommended for particularly low-chassis cars). Castellina in Chianti, where guests can find shops of all kinds, is 8 km distant, Siena 20 km and Florence 50 km.
