Le Forsizie is an attractive country house, comfortably furnished in rustic style, surrounded by ancient oak trees in a splendid, quiet and panoramic position not far from the little village of Grutti, with a magnificent view of Todi, which is just a few kilometres away. It was recently built and has been constructed in the style typical of the old umbrian farmhouses: the external walls are in stone, and the interiors have wooden-beamed ceilings in chestnut wood, with floors in raw terracotta. It is surrounded by grounds of over 10,000 sq. metres, part of which has been made into a garden with a lawn and ornamental plants and fruit trees. In another part of the garden is a pergola with a wood-burning oven for barbecuing. A furnished sunbathing terrace leads from the pergola to the swimming-pool (10x5m) with its own lighting system for swimming during the summer nights under a fantastic starlit sky. All of the well-known umbrian towns, such as Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Gubbio and Lake Trasimeno, with their art treasures and many cultural events, exhibitions and festivals, are all within easy reach of Le Forsizie. Just 2 kms away, in the village of Grutti, is a good restaurant offering typical umbrian cuisine with complete menus at special prices.
