Atrani is a small village on the Amalfi Coast, and lies next to the town of Amalfi, almost joined to it. It is probably the best preserved of the coastal villages, retaining its old characteristics along with its medieval structure. Atrani's attraction lies in its beautiful compactness, characterized by interwoven flights of steps and alleyways, by the contrast of light and shade in its typical piazzas, by the whitewashed walls and the colours of the flower and vegetable gardens which are still to be found sometimes between the houses. The Maddalena apartment lies right in the old village centre, just a short walk from the ancient cathedral from which it takes its name. You can go on foot to the beach, which is surrounded by local restaurants and bars. Due to its closeness to Amalfi, the area is well served by public transport and a car is really not necessary. The apartment is well furnished and comfortable. Amalfi is just 2 kms away.
