La Casa dell'Acqua lies in an isolated position close to the village of Porano (about 1 km), and next to a big vineyard. It is surrounded by a large garden at the end of which there is a large swimming-pool (8x18m), with a dressing-room and WC; in the upper of the garden is a wooden gazebo furnished with easy-chairs and a table overlooking the swimming-pool, and is an ideal place for sipping one of the excellent Orvieto wines. On the opposite side is a fenced area which is home to some dwarf goats, which are a delight for all children. Externally the villa has a rustic look, but the interiors contain valuable furniture and the villa is equipped with all modern comforts: two kitchens, of which the smaller links to an outside area for dining al fresco, satellite TV, stereo with CD player, broadband wireless internet connection, dishwasher and washing-machine, external barbecue. It lies about 8 mks from Orvieto and 14 mks from the Lake at Bolsena, where you can practice several types of water sports. Along the A1 motorway both Rome and Florence are about an hour and a half away. The nearby village of Porano offers all the essential services, and there are several restaurants in the area offering excellent local cuisine.
