The apartment lies in a splendid 19th century building, recently completely renovated, lying close to the main Cathedral piazza, heart and soul of the historic island of Ortigia, and close to the civic museum of contemporary arts. This apartment is ideal for a couple who want to spend their holiday discovering the ancient treasures of Syracuse, the beautiful monuments of Ortigia, along with the attractive countryside nearby along the green coast. And from the apartment you can easily reach all the hidden treasures of Ortigia. The entrance to the building is through a splendid wrought-iron door and an attractive pointed arch leading to an old marble staircase and a convenient modern lift linking the two floors. Typical local trattorias, restaurants, bars and bakers surround the building giving guests an unlimited choice. The sea is just a few hundred metres away, and in the summer they put up wooden piles to facilitate entering the water. From the beginning of May until the end of July there is the well-known Ortigia Festival, with theatre, music, dancing and visual arts.

The terrace on the outside of the apartment, reached by a stair, and offers a view of the sea and of the rooftops of Ortigia. It can be used as a sun terrace and has armschairs, table and sunshade.
