It was Guy de Maupassant who wrote: if somebody had just one day to spend in Sicily and asked me "What should I go and see?", I would reply without hesitation: "Taormina". You might think it's just something to go and see, a view, but it's a view with everything in it that might have been created to seduce the eye, brain and imagination. Taormina is not just a landscape with the summit of Mount Etna in the background, it's a heritage of art and culture that has made it famous throughout the world.
